This four week class series prepares expectant parents for the physical and emotional aspects of later stages of pregnancy, labor and birth and the time after your baby is born.

Hospital tour of the Family Birth Center
 
When: 
Tuesday evening classes orWednesday evening classes from 7-9 pm in the Montreal Conference Room at Providence St Peter Hospital.
 
Cost:
$95 or medical coupon, for expectant mother and one birth partner

In response to the hectic schedules of today's parents-to-be, we offer this day-long childbirth class. This Saturday or Sunday class is an accelerated version of our 4-week Prepared Childbirth Class series.

Saturday or Sunday classes from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm

Expectant parents need to make many decision as they prepared to care for their newborn. This class will provide guidance and support in a "hands-on" class setting with "life-like" newborns as you learn the latest in care for your baby, to help make an easy transition from hospital to home.

Baby proofing your home
Diapering and bathing
Very latest guidelines from AAP and SIDS
Infant choking resuscitation and Infant CPR

Sunday classes from 2:00 - 4:00 pm

In this prenatal breastfeeding class, which is included with all childbirth classes, you will learn the benefits of breastfeeding for Mom and baby. You will learn proper positioning and latch-on techniques, how to troubleshoot potential problems, as well as helpful hints to enhance your breastfeeding success.
 
When: 
Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm
 
Location:
The Montreal Room at Providence St Peter Hospital.
 
Cost: 
$20 per person if not attending childbirth classes

Siblings ages 3-8, along with their parents, prepare for their role as big brother or sister. Siblings learn what to expect when they come to the hospital, what it's like to have a new baby in the home, how to hold a newborn, and safe behavior using life -like dolls. Soon-to-be siblings also make their own big brother or big sister bag and celebration this occasion with a "birthday party."
